What CherryPickd does
CherryPickd lets you choose which items in your online shopping cart to buy now. It sets the other items aside and puts them back in your cart later.
What stays in your browser
- Items you set aside. CherryPickd saves each item's name, size or colour, quantity, price, product link and the store's item ID. They are saved in your browser's local extension storage on this computer. They are not sent to us and are not copied to your Google account.
- Today's prices of those items. The latest price CherryPickd read for each item you set aside, and when it read it. This is used only to show you a price drop.
- Your store settings. Which stores you turned CherryPickd on or off for.
- A small local log. CherryPickd keeps up to 100 recent actions on this computer, such as a cart split together with the names, sizes and prices of the items involved, and up to 50 problem reports. It helps fix problems. This log is not sent anywhere. A problem report sends only the few details listed below, never this log.
- A random code like CPI-XXXX-XXXX. It is not linked to your name or email.
Uninstalling CherryPickd deletes all of this.
What CherryPickd can see on a store
CherryPickd only works on stores you turn it on for. Chrome asks your permission for each store. On those stores, it reads the cart and changes it only when you ask it to: it removes the items you set aside and adds them back when you click Put back. It uses the store's own cart in your own session. It never asks for or sees your password, card numbers or payment details.
Store check. When you open the CherryPickd menu on a store page, CherryPickd asks that store's own website which cart system it uses (for example Shopify), so it can offer "Turn on". This request goes only to that store.
Store codes in your browser. Some stores (for example Aritzia, Mango, Ulta, Best Buy and Jomashop) keep a cart or sign-in code in your browser. On those stores, CherryPickd reads that code only to work with the same store's cart from this computer. It never sends it to us or to any other site.
Price checks. While you are on a store, CherryPickd opens the product page of each item you set aside from that store, at most once every 6 hours, to read today's price. This is like visiting the page yourself: the request goes only to that store, never to another site and never to us. If a price is lower than when you set the item aside, CherryPickd shows it to you.
What is sent to us
CherryPickd itself sends nothing to us. If you click Report a problem, it opens an email to support@getcherrypickd.com in your own email app. You see the whole email and decide whether to send it. The email contains:
- the store's web address and the page address, with everything after "?" or "#" removed
- the reason you picked
- the type of store system (for example Shopify) and the CherryPickd version
It does not include the items in your cart, your name, address or payment details. If you send it, we also see the email address you send it from. We use reports only to fix CherryPickd on that store.
